Please share the causes of WWI. Please explain the roles of imperialism, nationalism, militarism, and alliances.Do these tensions exist in the world today? Explain.

The causes of WWI would be the assassination of the archduke; the great increase in nationalism and imperialism. The increase of power in the military and the production of new and better weapons really increased confidence and stability in countries.
Imperialism was a big role because with the need and desire to conquer more land, the rulers felt more apt to war and to fight. The increase in nationalism made the people of the countries thinking that they were the best and therefore their want and desire to fight to make them a better country was a high quality. With the role of alliances, countries made alliances with other countries to have someone to protect them in a time of danger. When a country made an alliance with another one, any country that that country had an alliance with, made an alliance with the 3rd one.  And sometimes the countries with alliances didnt want to back the other countries so the alliance would be annulled and that didnt go well with other countries.
Yes the tensions still exist today because there still isnt complete peace throughout the world. Under leaders who think their countries are the best, competition for certain land and resources is a major issue. Concerning the topic of resources and land, the best countries want the best land and therefore are will to fight for it. But we have to come to a time when there isnt as much tension as there was before but there is always the chance that the tensions could get worse.
