Hi, I'm Nina and Lost Luna is my DIY-solo-experimental-riotgrrrl-punk-electro-mysterious-metal-expressionistic-emo-newwave- dada-indie-strange-noisy-rock-art-spokenword-queer-core-bedroomrecording-4track-band-project that was born, I think, around 1998. Because I play in a *real* band now (update May 23rd 2006: this band, Coma To Action aka Foxfire, has split up in the meantime, but now I play guitarrr in D-konstruxie, a riot/crust/hardcore/hiphop/dub band), I thought about stopping with this project some time ago, but then I decided it was too much fun writing and recording crappy songs at home. So I made a little website to introduce LostLuna, definitely the worst "band" ever. You can also HEAR some music on my myspace HERE!

So far I dared to show 2 songs to the outside world: "20 minutes of shame" (sounds as the title indicates, but thank goddess, it doesn't last 20 minutes) and "witch night" (a lovely vengeful hymne). The first of these horribly failed attempts of songwriting appeared on the otherwise brilliant feminist compilation "Echoholic" and the latter on "Riots In The Benelux", a compilation featuring lots of riot grrrl stars from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Both of these tapes can still be bought from my own DIY riot grrrl label Echo Records.

I'm recording a demo tape, called "Demolish", and it will be ready some day I don't know when (maybe this summer). I've been postponing it forever, probably because the recordings weren't bad enough (I have a reputation to maintain, you know). Some possible song titles:

-"witch night" [rerecording] -> about fighting back against harassment
-"hello kitty" -> about consumerism
-"eyes closed"
-"dorothy"
-"damage"
-"the dictator falls"
-"structureless"
-"fear the eye that watches you" -> about cameras and control
-"hungry for noise" / "spit & scream" -> about grrrls making noise
-"nameless & faceless" -> about classification and exclusion of certain human beings
-...
 

Lost Luna does not like:
wearing dresses, depressing grey skies, authority, broken guitar strings, boredom, keeping my crappy websites updated, mobile phones, elitism, annoying electronic music, school exams, adult behaviour,...

Lost Luna does like:
drawing dresses, "tuinbroeken" (yeah!), drawing outside in the sun, vegan chocolate cakes, riot grrrl (surprise!), cut-n paste zines, pirates, flapper grrrls, holidays, the colour red (cherry red), guitars, comic books, letters, cats,...
