Swami Vivekananda' teachings work like wonderful music which uplifts the mind and the man. His words vibrate with life and dynamism.

He works best who works without any motive, neither for money, nor for Fame, nor for anything else; and when a man can do that, he will be a Buddha, and out of him will come the power to work in such a manner as will transform the world.
If you really want to judge the character of a man, look not at his great performances. Every fool may become a hero at one time or another. Watch a man do his most common actions; those are indeed the things which will tell you the real character of a great man. Great occasions rouse even the lowest of human beings to some kind of greatness but he alone is the great man whose character is great always, the same wherever he may be.
He is an atheist who does not believe in himself. The old religions said that he was an atheist who did not believe in God. The new religion says that he is the atheist who does not believe in himself.
Religion is the idea which is raising the brute unto man, and man unto God.
If we had little rivulets in the past, deluges are coming, and none resist them ... The secret of life is to give and take. Are we take always, to sit at the feet of the westerners to learn everything, even religion? We can learn many other things. But we have to teach them something, and that is our religion, that is our spirituality.
So long as the millions die in hunger and ignorance, I hold every man a traitor who, having been educated at their expense, pays not the least heed to them!
The education which does not help the common mass of people to equip themselves for the struggle of life, which does not bring out strength of character, a spirit of philanthrophy, the courage of a lion - is it worth the name.
If a man goes towards what is false, it is because he cannot get what is true. Therefore the only method of correcting what is false is by supplying him with what is true. Do this, and let him compare. You give him the truth, and there your work is done.
