The University of North Dakota, led by Jenny Crouse and Tiffany Pudenz who combined for 57 points, defeated Morningside 104-83 Friday night in North Central Conference women's basketball.
UND (18-1, 10-0 NCC) was led by Jenny Crouse's career-high 30 points to go with her seven rebounds. Tiffany Pudenz added 27 points on 5-of-10 shooting from behind the 3-point line.
"Both Jenny and Tiffany came up huge for us tonight," UND head coach Gene Roebuck said.
The Sioux scored more the 100 points for the seventh time this season. The victory also extends their winning streak to 15 games.
Morningside (7-11, 1-9) trailed by only six points at half despite the fact that the Sioux started the game on a 20-2 run. The Maroon Chiefs pulled within three points before Tiffany Pudenz took over. She scored 14 of her 27 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
"As a leader, I can't be afraid to shoot the ball," Pudenz said. "My 3-point shot had improved in conference play and I always believe that every shot I take will go in."
