After high school I headed off for another time zone for college, aka Chadron State, by way of a farmer in Wood River. Needless to say after just one semester of driving 6 hours each way every weekend I transferred to Kearney State. I think that Louise, Kay, and I are probably the only ones in the class to ever be kicked out of an apartment for, well, to this day we are not sure what we did. We just know that couches are not boy friends favorite things to move!

In May of 1983 I married Jerry Woitaszewski,a farmer from Wood River. I know I said I would never live on a farm, but we do. We have lived the same place all but six months, after a tornado went through.

I graduated in December of 1983 with a degree in Elementary Education.

I taught for 6 years in Wood River and Grand Island before I decided to stay home with the kids.

We have three children who are very involved in school and sports, so I spend my evenings driving back and forth to Wood River. I never appreciated living so close to the school.

For the past four years I have taught in the Education Dept. of Stuhr Museum. We have a kindergarten through twelfth grade, hands on history program. This past year we had over 21,000 kids through the program. It keeps me busy and gets the teacher out of me without having parent teacher conferences!

Hope to see everyone in July!
