After graduation, I went to South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City for a year. I learned I DIDN'T want to be an engineer, but further developed my love for music working at the college radio station.

I returned to Grand Island and worked various jobs while trying to decide what I wanted to do when I grew up (how was I to know then that it would be a never-ending process?!?!)

I met Kathy through mutual friends and we eventually married.

I was employed by Dustys Records for 7 years before moving to the Principal Financial Group (talk about change in cultures!)

I started as an insurance administrator then later moved into the IT area working as a network analyst. After Principal went public, they started cutting positions that did not actually generate revenue. I was laid off with 75 others in the IT area.

It was a mixed blessing as I was burning out and my health was getting worse. I now work at Home Depot and with my wife, we are developing an internet-based business.

I have been racing radio control cars for the last 17 years, work on my full-size Capri when I can, and swing my golf clubs at a little white ball (a game I enjoy most when I don't keep score! I have been developing my photography skills. I have a gallery here

We have traveled a lot as a family, and my work and hobbies send me on the occasional road trip, as well.
