Greetings!
My working hours are spent as the Community Projects Director for the City of Grand Island. This involves overseeing Special Projects for the Mayor and Council as well as Economic Development, Community Development, Downtown Development and Public Information Divisions.
I had previously served as the Public Information Director and City Clerk for 8 years. In December,2000, I received my Master's Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from UNL. My undergraduate degree is in Human and Social Service Administration - the field I was in prior to becoming interested in municipal government.
Since 2003 I have been working as the President of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce.
My family includes husband, Mike, attorney with Luebs Law Firm in GI. Adam, age 19, and Kenzie, age 9 1/2. We are very much into traveling (love college and professional basketball), running, biking, and movies. I've just taken up golf but according to Adam, I'm pathetic so no golfing for me on July 1!
