
HOA at the 2000 Nationals
"People live here?!?!?" With air
temps of 110, asphalt temps of 150 in the sun (only 135 in the shade..) and
everything else we touched 115-120, there were times we not only questioned why we went to
the 2000 Fuel Onroad Nationals, but why people settled in Texas in the first place!
However, aside from the weather, RCRC of Dallas put on
a first class event at the Texas Motor Speedway. Fourteen Heart of America regulars
attended the Nationals with at least 1 racer in each of the 5 classes run. Several ran
much better than the final results below reflect...
