Yana Kris
Yana was born in London and raised trilingually. She is fluent in English, German and Czech, and the talented actress speaks Italien and French as well. As a child she received a number of nominations for literature and poetry awards in her home town. She earned her Diploma in Operetta and Musical Theater at the Municipal Conservatory of Vienna. In addition she studied acting with Lola Braxton  (Stanislawski Method) and singing with Prof. Toma Popescu in Vienna. In Verona, Italy she continued her vocal studies and honed her talents with Maestro Aldo Danieli. (Arena di Verona)

Even before completing her studies, Yana was a member of the famous Viennese "Kabarett Simpl" and also part of the musical team in the revue "Focus on Broadway". Both projects were television productions. Yana made her acting debut in the role of Belle in Charles Dicken "A Christmas Carol" at the International Theater in Vienna. Since then, Yana has only appeared exclusively in lead roles in various musicals throughout Europe. She was cast, for example, as Audrey in "Little Shops of Horrors", Nancy in "Oliver" and as the main character in the world premieres of both "Gaudi" and "Gambler", both composed by the legendary songwriter Eric Woolfson (Alan Parsons Project).

Yana is also a welcome guest at a great number of important galas thoughout Europe and has performed, for instance, in concerts for Michail Gorbatshow, Christiane Herzog, Hans Dietrich Genscher, the UNESCO and UNICEF. She also sang at the "State Ball" in Berlin 1999.
Yana recorded her first songs on CD in Los Angeles together with Humberto Gatica as co-producer (co-producer of Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand etc.). The majority of  songs were written by world-famous songwriters such as Diane Warren, Carole King, Billy Steinberg, Richard Marx and Christian Bensch. The project also includes some of Yanas own songs.
At present, Yana lives in Cologne, Germany and is to be heard in various galas throughout Germany, such as for the German Post, Telekom, the Vienne "Festspiele" and once again at the "State Ball 2001" in Berlin. She has also appeared abroad, for example in Canada and the USA. Yana has also recorded a number of well-known Christmas Songs. A few of which have been shown on German Television (WDR)
