Emotional Pain vs. Destruction

The world is a cruel place,

But there’s nothing we can do or say,

One day, we ourselves will destroy the human race,

Was Earth created to die this way?

So how many lives have ended everyday?

Why do people so suddenly take their lives away?

Just knowing the true reflection of this world,

Hurts me so much deep down inside,

But nothing can compare to this emotional pain,

That has been bottled up all this time.

If only I still had hope left in me,
