Playing the role of Brad O'Keefe in FOX'S "Grounded For Life" has kept Portland, Oregon, native Bret Harrison busy, to say the least. Within months of arriving in Los Angeles he landed the role of the "geeky" teenager who has a crush on the girl next door.

Yet being a comedic actor is only one of Bret's goals. In a recent interview he said, "Honestly, I strive to be like a Tom Hanks, who can do everything. When I go to acting class, that's what I really go for." He's already off to a great start. Harrison can be seen co-starring in the upcoming Paramount Pictures film "Orange County," opposite Colin Hanks, John Lithgow and Ben Stiller. He also co-starred in the MTV series "Undressed."

Harrison started acting as a child in small theatres in the Portland area. However, it wasn't until a teacher at the Northwest Children's Theater challenged him to become the best actor he could be that he began taking acting seriously. He was so inspired that he graduated high school early and headed to Los Angeles on his own.

In his spare time, Harrison enjoys surfing and playing guitar in his band.
