Old Man Avenue
Well I've said it before and I'll say it again,
No matter where I've gone or where I've been
I keep coming back to this town, this city that I love.
Well this town it can bring you down,
The same old people hanging around,
It somehow reminds me of the old man on the avenue.
I cant remeber the last time I've seen the sunrise,
But I dont miss it all that much.
It seems we spend our lives searching for something that ain't there to find.
Well not me, that ain't my style!
I have many regrets, probobly two times more ahead.
I've said all that theres to be said.
I dont expect you to understand,
The endless string of alcohol and cigarettes, is this as good as it gets?
Guess I'll just hang with the old man on the avenue.
I cant remeber the last time I've seen the sunrise,
But I dont miss it all that much.
It seems we spend our lives searching for something that ain't there to find.
Well not me, that ain't my style!
Who can you trust when you cant trust yourself?
The little man in your head has called in sick.
I've come to beleive that everyone decieves
If they're given the chance.
I cant remeber the last time I've seen the sunrise,
But I dont miss it all that much.
It seems we spend our lives searching for something that ain't there to find.
Well not me, that ain't my style!
