Lesson 2
This is your first proper lesson with me.  To begin with we need to learn the basics of magic in transfiguration.  Sorry for the people who took the class last year, but I'll try to make this part of learning the easiest!

Transfiguration is the magic to change one object into another.  The magic can be to change creatures from objects, or vice versa.  Also for human changes, but also to change a part of something.  Ie. Dog ears into rabbit ears.  Ok ok it looks funny, but this lesson needs to be taken seriously.  When it goes wrong, it goes very wrong.  Be warned.

It is an old magic form and has been used for years.  Even in acient times, Circe, a Witch who lived in the Greek island of Aeaea, was famous for turning lost sailors into pigs.  Ever heard of witches turning people into toads?  Yes, that happened many years ago too.  It doesn't happen so much anymore, well of course the odd student here and there have been reported missing for a few days...

Now to begin with in this class I will teach you the correct pronunciation in ransfiguration, and wand movement.  I know this part of learning is very boring, but just think, I have to teach it!  So I'll try and make it quick, we'll all want to get that bit over with.  Eventually we'll be starting to do some real transfiguration, NOT on classmates, not yet anyway.

Now it's your turn to do a little research, or use your brains either way will do.  I want you to tell me some examples of how transfiguration can be used.  Not jut for good situtaions, but for nasty one's too.  They're more fun to read when marking homework!  I won't keep you any longer you all look assleep anyway, so off you go!
