God Is Good Written Dec. 1987
God is so good to me, it's really unbelievable. Why He chose to love me, is inconceivable. By His grace I am free, and all I need He supplies abundently. He looks down from His heavenly throne and looks upon me as one of His own. He knows when I'm happy or sad, and He's the best listener I've ever had. But you know what really amazes me? He gave His only Son to die upon a cruel old tree so that I could be with Him in eternity. And if there had been not one but me, He would still have died willingly. Yes, God is so good to me. |

What Is Christmas? Written Dec. 23, 1987
What is Christmas? Can you say? Whose birthday is it anyway? Is it mine or yours or mom or dad? No, it's Jesus', and I'm sure He's sad. We rush around from this store to that, trying to find that one certain toy, to give to that special little girl or boy. We look at this and that and the other wondering what to give father and mother. We cook and clean and make everything neat, and we have everything you could want to eat. I think we've forgotten what Christmas is supposed to be, it's not Santa Claus or the Christmas tree. It's all about Jesus, about His birth, the day He came down to earth. He was born in Bethlehem many years ago, not just an ordinary baby you know. He was a very special baby not like the rest. Because He came to give mankind His very best. His life for yours, He knew when He came down. He took your sins and mine and died on the tree, and bought salvation for you and for me. Now think about that, I think you'll agree. It's Jesus birthday, remember what He was born to do, and give Him your very best gift. Give Him you!
