The links I provide below to other sites are my choices only. There has been no commercial consideration whatsoever in selecting them. I find these sites to be of interest and of value, therefore, if you find any of my links objectionable in content or integrity, please forward me an e-mail and I will consider removing the link from my page. One good tutorial site I have found is the Web Site of Joe Burns, Ph.D. He has some outstanding examples of primers for the basics, banners, JavaScripting, tutorials, tables, backgrounds, forms, frames, Image Maps, colors, buttons, browsers and beyond HTML. He is a an assistant Professor of Communications at Southeastern Louisiana University. Check out his site. I would recommend it. He also has many other interesting links concerning web page designs. You may also subscribe to his newsletter and he will send you email information.
Netscape provides the Background Sampler which I find helpful. Here are backgrounds of all kinds for your personal use to design web pages. Click Netscape Sampler and find all those hard to find backgrounds to spruce up your page.
Webshots is part of Excite@Home and provides photos, screensavers, wallpaper and electronic postcards. Download, publish and share photos in Webshots photo albums and in the Webshots Community Section.
David Griffith provides many different applets and also provides instructions on how to code the applets on your web page. I have downloaded the lake applet to use on my web pages. Here is the link to David Griffith's site along with his logo.
The TextScroll applet is provided by Kevin Swann and he provides complete documentation. You may download this applet and complete documentation at:
Another good site to find all kinds of free backgrounds, bars, bullets, clip art, icons and annimations is A+ Art. This is a good site in my opinion.
Add variety to the images on your home page by loading them into the Photo Effects applet. Intel has provided a photo album applet with high tech image transitions. The link to Intel's site is:
Lars Nicolai Løvdal has developed a snow applet for your images. The link to his site has moved and I am in the process of trying to locate it. The previous site was listed as:
