ABOUT THE CD: "To Live The Life Of Christ"
On Nov 18th 2005, ten years after his suicide attempts and four years after moving into what his studio flat where he put it all together, Grod left Greyfield and High Littleton.

Ten years previously after surviving his suicide attempts, Grod had set himself four goals.
The first was that to stay financially solvent and tackle his debts, he would until the age of 40 carry on being an entertainer.
Starting again as a kids entertainer, but also to get his musical career underway. Starting with busking to see how his songs were received. But after the age of 40, if he reached it, he would then write about his life, via a musical "Diary Of A Millionaire"

The second was he would put aside money to build a computer that would allow him to make at least one CD. That if he died due to the long term effect on his health, that he would at least leave the world his music.
But if time and finance, and the learning of the required skills, he would then turn that music into the soundtrack of a video, made from the video footage he had of his life.
Including the video diary he resolved to keep over the next ten years. To make a musical, "Diary Of A Millionaire", he'd written as fiction, but became the reality of Grod's life.

The third was in that ten years, he would find out and expose the conspiracy of victimization, and the people behind it, that had caused him to try to take his own life.

The fourth was that within that ten years he would try and meet his perfect partner, and be married with the kids he longed for.
All but that final bit, had been completed. But he'd come close, oh so close. Instead he'd had heartache beyond belief.
But instead of making one CD, he'd made 11, not including the compilations such as "20 Busking Hits" and "Grod 20-40."

After making the CD's he'd then at last acquired the hardware and software and made his biographical video musical.
Using the time when hiding away from the world, Grod ploughed through his many videos. Including keeping a regular video diary, then put it to the music he'd created as it's soundtrack. To tell the story of his life as "Grod Groddler" from different perspectives.
Firstly a six part DVD series called "Grod Groddler-Rest In Piece."
Which subsequently was then edited to a one hour DVD called "Pieces."
Next had come a musical diary of the relationship with "Book" and its slide into the abusive relationship with "Hel". With the music of the "Greyfield" CD, whose songs were inspired by the relationships as the soundtrack, it was entitled "BookHell."

The third was a series of 10 DVD's "A Spell With Wicked Witch" which documented Grod's final relationship which ended with such catastrophe.
But these edited down to one hour DVD to the backing music of the "UNNO.XXWWXX" CD, whose songs had been inspired by that relationship. The musical diary DVD also known "UNNO.XXWWXX"

Then the "Pieces", "BookHell" and "UNNO.XXWWXX" DVD's were woven together as a four hour musical documentary film "Diary Of A Millionaire", which itself was edited down to a 1 hour DVD also called "Diary Of A Millionaire."

Grod even made a trailer for this DVD, a video to accompany his song of the same name, "Diary Of A Millionaire."
They say that when you die, your life quickly flashes before you. Grod had already envisioned what he would see in this short 3min video. Showing all the places and events and people who shaped his life. Largely by not heeding Grod's proven word, and doing opposite. With the carnage Grod had predicted if that road taken, falling exactly as cued.

But amongst the video not used in these films, were personal entries by Grod about his life and plans. His perspective on the matters that were effecting his life. A video diary.
But also other videos showing the evidence that proved the truth of what he suspected.
The conspiracy and those behind it had unraveled. Over the years, bit by bit, sometimes quite unexpectedly, some by a lot of digging, the truths came out. Sometimes slowly, sometimes gushing.

The problem was having all this information, that weaving it all together in a logical form and sequence would be a mammoth task. But with all the recording and video editing, CD, CD-ROM, DVD, DVD-ROM making skills and web page designing skills learnt over the last few years, the tools were there, the knowledge all there, all was needed was the time.
But time had run out for Grod at Greyfield. He'd resolved his debt problems by going bankrupt, and was surprised to be discharged from bankruptcy after just seven months.
He was back to £0. But that was the richest he'd been for over twenty years.
However his landlord had become gravely ill with prostrate cancer. Over the last two years Grod had watched as the diagnosis was given and various treatments tried. But all had failed and the end was near. It was time for Grod to let him have the peace he needed.

If that wasn't a difficult enough problem to handle, the penny whistle player Grod had regularly been playing with for the last two years, was also in hospital very gravely ill.
But they always come in threes.
Grod also found his own father was very seriously ill in hospital back in Yorkshire.

But this gave Grod the get out clause he needed.
His mother would need help, love and support, she could feed him and provide safe accommodation. His father in hospital, moving back home was contemplate-able.
With his project of the last ten years over, it was time to go home.
Then from a safe distance, process the video evidence he had of the conspiracy and the people behind it, including the Authorities they belonged to, and the probability of a Freemasonry connection.
A lot of homework had been done over the last ten years. Grod had also been at home alone a lot of the time. The evidence irrefutably caught on video just needed compiling.
Then from this safe distance, over 250 miles away, drop his bombs and expose all via the internet and DVD-ROM's. Telling the story, backed by the videos.
And that is what he did.

While initially signed onto a scheme to return him to self employment, the relief of escaping the south west, the illness of his father and the pressure it put on his mother, his lack of transport, mobile phone...returning to business was impossible.
With deep depression again and knowing he was unable to cope, on the verge of suicide, the doctor signed him off with anxiety & stress/panic attacks. But this gave the time to put together his story and legal case.
The three DVD-ROM's consisting of:
"The Case Against H.H.", regarding the set-up and deliberate physical and psychological abuse by "Jezebel." Along with her attempted blackmail and defamation of Grod's character and business as a children's entertainer.
"The Case Against Sainsburys Supervisor" highlighting all the illegalities that were ignored that brought his last relationship to an end with such carnage and fall-out. Including his girlfriend getting engaged illegally to her supervisor with a Position Of Trust and a known drug dealer at the store. Proved by WW's own testament caught on video.
And finally "Police! Stop! Proper Action!!!" Highlighting 28 different complaints of the Police's treatment of Grod, including a conspiracy to avenge a court case in which he had won damages against them. Which included the conspiracy theory of the set up of the honey trap "Jezebel" and the motivation of the Police not to get involved with the illegalities of the last relationship with WW. But also showing how his vehicle was targeted by speed traps and traffic wardens. As had his business as an entertainer.

It was indeed a mammoth task. It exhausted an already mentally and physically exhausted Grod. But putting together the truth of the last ten years gave Grod a startling revelation.
The conclusion, from his own experiences, knowing his own prayers and good motivations throughout the years... the truth was... there was no God.
All evil and good from come humans. And there is the natural cycles of nature. There is no acts of God.
In fact if there were acts, they were the opposite of what Grod had prayed earnestly for and none of them with any ill intention. The sort of things that did happen, all seemed designed to frustrate his goals. The opposite of his prayers for peace, love and justice.

In fact such occurrences were recorded on the documentary of Grod's Easter pilgrimage to Canterbury Cathedral, to hand the Archbishop Of Canterbury a special DVD, and a questionnaire.
Grod also called into London on route, on Good Friday. To deliver the same DVD and questionnaire to the both of the main political parties about to contest the general election. To see what both Labour and Conservative thought of Grod's dilemmas. To help him decide which way to vote. Or whether to stand himself.
In this pilgrimage Grod set off with just £15. He also planned to busk at Covent Garden.
He returned to Greyfield with more then he had set off with. But with a nasty twist.
The pilgrimage was then made into an hours musical documentary, "Pilgrim's Progress"

Previously Grod had stood in the local elections in Bath. He had fought the campaign using a specially made CD-ROM, outlining what he stood for and against, with of course some video clips and music to demonstrate.

The result of Grod's pilgrimage is that the Archbishop of Canterbury, though being personally handed the DVD and questionnaire, never responded. Neither did the Labour or Conservative political parties.
Grod always keeps his word, unless prevented from doing so.
Grod put himself forward as an Independent Candidate for Bath at the General Election.
He fought his campaign this time not with a CD-ROM full of video evidence, this time a DVD-ROM, with five times as much space for Grod to make his points.

In the General Election of May 2005 Grod had hoped to fight his campaign over the internet, releasing his video diary and campaign material, answering any questions through a chat room and email.
Except he encountered a lot of dirty tricks to make sure it never went up.
The dirty tricks though were all added to the video diary of evidence, then put with the rest of the video evidence on the above DVD-ROM.
Even if Grod could have made one for everyone in Bath, entitled to a free mail-shot, the floppy disk he was given that was purported to be the electronic register, to allow such a mail-shot, turned out to be a blank disk.
The DVD-ROM instead was sent out to Grod's immediate supporters and instead he conducted a silent campaign, refusing all interviews. But attending one public debate with the other candidates on the eve of the election.
Grod gained more votes then he anticipated, with 59 votes, but still came last. But that was never the point. It was won by the standing MP Don Forster, as Grod expected. And Grod and Don had met before, and congratulated each other on doing a good job.
The point was to make Grod's instigators to suddenly be filled with fear for a change. Knowing what Grod was going to do, and the information he had, ready to expose.

With the election over, Grod then spent his days hiding away again, but still making the occasional trip out to Bath and busking. By now everyone seemed to know who Grod was, and many came over and said if he ever stood again, he had their vote.
A few months later and Grod was saying goodbye.
In packing up and moving things out of his Greyfield studio, Grod had taken time out to pen one last song, "Old Age."
The lyrics his experience of old age from the ill health and deterioration of his landlord, busking partner and father, and his mothers struggle to cope.
But with so little energy himself, feeling he too knew what old age brings.
He recorded it days later at his parents house, Grod's home of his teen years and still felt like "home." It was recorded simply using his video camera and then using the soundtrack with a bit of reverb added, "Old Age" became a song with no-where to go.
"Old age, Old age, Old Age, return to the child stage, regress to the womb days, re-meet with you maker, before all days begun. But this stage, you take back your wizened days, memories of golden times, and times of such tears, but all seem so dear, to that blank page now filled in with love and rage, the last line nearly done, and the story complete." (Excerpt of lyrics from "Old Age")
But now with the truth of the last ten years known, but it also holding the key to truths of previous years before that, the conclusion was there was no God.
That for years Grod had tried to follow a thoroughly Christian life. And ended up lonely, bankrupt, falsely accused of wrongs. The reality of attacks against him anything but false.
But those who had lied and cheated, they had got away with it. They had money, found partners and had children. How they had achieved it was sometimes completely unscrupulous and immoral, according to Grod's Christian stand point.
But the answer surely lay at what the humans of the time did to this Jesus character. They crucified him, even letting a knowing murder escape free.
That was the contempt of humans to someone who tries to correct their human instinct. But from it had formed a religion, values and laws.
Except the law only works if you are friends with a Policeman, or have enough money, or position of power to warrant protecting. That was Grod's life experience.

But the cause of peoples contempt of Grod, to victimize him, he concluded was that all the time he was avoiding being a human being. He was trying to get into a heaven that didn't exists. This was life, here on this earth, there is no life after death. Others knew that.
Grod suddenly felt he'd found the cause of all his misery, throughout his life.
Trying to rely on a God who simply wasn't there.
Where things had been offered up to God's hands he should have been working away fixing. When turning the other cheek he should have punched and kicked hard. Instead of forgiveness there should have been cold blooded revenge. Instead of protecting his virginity, proclaiming celibacy and monogamy, he should have been trying to get his rocks off at every conceivable opportunity.
Because it's what everyone else had actually done, including to him. It was dog eat dog. It was he, not them, that didn't have a decent life and standard of living.

With the regret of his religious convictions, finished off with both reading the "Da Vinci Code" and having a confidential chat regarding sexual abuse with a vicar, who then exposed it, Grod had finished with God. It had been a long time coming.
He knew what it was like to try on take the mantle of Christ in real life, especially in these modern times, the internet, Darwin, D.N.A. and the fossil history.

He sat down and penned his last epic song "To Live The Life Of Christ"
"I gave myself up to the church, spending years upon my knees, praying to God to show me light, for him to ignore my pleas. Like his son I feel crucified, left hanging on a tree, staring up at empty skies, asking why do you forsake me?" (Excerpt from lyrics of "To Live The Life Of Christ")
"Just want to wave and hit my grave, and bid everyone goodnight, I regret the morn that I was born, to live the life of the Christ." (Excerpt from lyrics of "To Live The Life Of Christ")

Recorded again by simply videoing a live performance of the track on video at his parents home, then soundtrack used with sound enhancement on the computer, it sat there begging to be heard.
The vocals on the track had never sounded so down and out. There was no hope left, only very large regrets.
Of being brought up a polite, respectable, loving caring, forgiving, intelligent, law-abiding, God fearing, Jesus loving person.
Who put the pursuit of worldly gain and pleasures of the flesh aside, to concentrate on entertaining and educating those he met, with the message he was God inspired and heaven seeking.
To conclude he'd been conned.

The two songs were just too powerful to be unused. It was time to put together one last CD. It was Grod's darkest CD. Using every song in his repertoire that mentioned God.
But songs and instrumentals that relayed in full Grod's despondency in life, as his faith had slowly cracked then crumbled. Leaving him with nothing and no-one. Not even a God to pray to or give hope.
The CD "To Live The Life Of Christ" was ready in time for a Christmas darker then the one's he'd previously spent alone. Now in the full depths of depression and no hope of God's intervention. As real as Santa Claus.

A Christmas which saw his landlord succumb to his illness on Christmas Eve. The news only getting through to Grod in January and the funeral missed.
If there was a God, then this is what he'd done all his life to Grod, and nothing to receive any praise or joyful thanks for. This is a big time bully using fear and their power to the illest effects on the weakest.
But one more track was to be added. A song that had been written about twelve years ago, just before his suicide attempt's.
New verses flowed out, the old refrain remembered word for word.
"Don't want my life, please take it away, I've given it a try and I don't want to stay. Spend most of my life staring out at the rain, trying to get rid of, get rid of the pain inside." (Excerpt of lyrics from "Don't Want My Life.")

So, the story was complete. The project was over. Now it was about getting the whole thing out.
By the time of July 2006, Grod had been signed off work for over 7 months through Anxiety and severe depression. A day not passing without at some points unstoppable and relentless tears.
In the meantime he remained housebound helping his mother cope with his fathers return home from hospital, but the frailties and senility of old age advancing.

But in that time, Grod brought all his music and the stories behind them and the CD's they were on, to one place.
One CD and proposed website, "The Complete Grod."
June 2006 saw Grod re-appear in Bath and perform for two days, including fathers day.
Many rushed out to welcome him back, from Bath Abbey, The Pump Rooms, even the MP came across and personally welcomed him back. In fact in those 2 days he met just about everyone he could have wished to. And all welcomed him back, including former foes. All telling him the place simply hadn't been the same without him.
But it was simply a brief trip back, there was too much water gone under Pultney bridge.

Or maybe, just maybe, Grod might one day be resurrected.
Or maybe will simply live on via the internet, his CD's and DVD's.
The bible being "The Complete Grod."
