Mother’s wish
This is a response to the WIKTT 'Mirror of Erised', 100 words challenge. I hope you'll like it.

She watched
herself in the mirror. Long, curly brown hair, a happy smile and a golden band
around her finger.
But what made
her most happy was her round belly. She watched herself running her hands over
it, trying to catch the baby's movements.
Tears trickled
down her face when she looked down. Her belly was flat. She felt empty.
Again it
hadn't happened.
She had
failed.
A pair of
strong arms slipped around her waist, pulling her close against a warm body.
"Don't
cry, beloved", his silky voice whispered comfortingly in her ear. "Someday, we will have our child".
