Notes from the OOC


�An Earth Equivalent to Klah�

Mix together:
2 tbls. sweet ground chocolate
� cup dark cocoa
3/8 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. dark, instant coffee crystals, ground to powder
small pinch of nutmeg

Use two to four teaspoons of mixture per cup of boiling water. Stir well.
The klah should be thick, much like cocoa.

Klah: a tree native to Pern (Klah tree), and the name of a popular hot
a tree native to Pern (Klah tree), and the name of a popular hot drink
brewed from its bark. The drink acts as a stimulant (like Terran caffeine) and
tastes like a combination of Terran coffee and chocolate with a touch of cinnamon.

Klahbark Tree (N)

Growth form: tree

Known locations: near Half-Circle seahold, Benden Hold*

Uses: Bark is brewed to produce a coffee-like substance, tastes like a cross
between coffee and chocolate, with a spicy aftertaste. The bark is also used
as a spice.
