Observations from Grinstead

Ista Island. The wind blows smoke, dust, and ash around, making it
difficult to breathe.
Perched on a tree branch are three firelizards.

You go to the Dining Hall.
Cyning> Teanna skips in from the Farm Yard.
Cyning> Teanna skips to the Gardens.
The ground suddenly seems to fall away from you, then just as quickly snaps back, throwing you to the ground. There is a loud roar, and a violent rumbling, as the ground bobs up and down, vibrating as though it had been plucked like a string. Rocks tumble off of hillsides, and walls crack under the sudden force.
Stanbogan pulls a table upright and slides beneath it .
The violent, roaring quake continues; cracks split the ground and walls, and the shuddering earth makes it difficult to stand. People and creatures alike panic as the ground seems to come apart under the tremors.
Cyning blinks in from ::between::!
Stanbogan receives a message about Gar and fires. She sends Cyning to Gar.
Cyning> You walk out to the farmyard.
Cyning> You go to the Gar Hold CourtYard.
Cyning> Nanami glides to the Gar Hold Entry Hall.
The tremors seem to shake apart hold and weyr alike. Walls crumble, doorways set ajar by the ripping stone. The violent shaking continues.
Meremed> Meremed blinks in from ::between::!
Stanbogan sends her blue to find her daughter.
Meremed> Meremed suddenly disappears ::between::!
After what seems like an eternity, the rumbling begins to abate. Dust fills the already smoke-filled air.
Stanbogan listens at the door to Farm Hall's main hallway and hears water through the jammed door.
"Main Hallway
Water pours down the stairs twisting round this room before finally swiftly running into the Library/Classroom. Rocks seem to have fallen over the main doorway out to the Farm Yard and to the Dining Hall keeping water from escaping in those directions as well as the Staff Office. A few towels continue to swirl in one part of the room caught in an eddy and a chair is near the Farm Yard door where it's gotten stuck amongst the rubble."

Stanbogan sets her rescued daughter in a chair and looks over her minor injuries.
