| so you've come this far, wondering who i am, what i'm about, and basically what makes me tick. well,... i try not to tick. it tends to really annoy people. or scare them away. but here are some odd facts about me, and how i've spent my life so far. i have been in hospitals in three major canadian cities, and two major american cities yet have never had a broken bone. (american medical bills are ridiculously high!)
i have won a medal for tahitian dancing. okay, so my hips aren't as quick as they used to be. but i
was once darn good!
i have single-handedly given a high-school teacher a nervous breakdown.
i have skated in an ice show with the kurt browning, yet now i can barely stand
up with skates on.
i have climbed to the top of diamond head in hawaii and was attacked by a
gecko on the way down. i have the t-shirt to prove it. (the climbing part, not the gecko part.)
i have written a newspaper personal ad, and actually had some responses. i never replied to them though.
i have entered in, and come in second in, a wet t-shirt contest in a bar. that was in my younger
days.
i have operated and almost broken a back-hoe. don't worry, it survived, and so did i.
i am a PKK. i have dated a P and a PK, then, stupidly i married and then divorced an agnostic. go figure.
and i can tie a cherry stem in a knot with my tongue in under 25 seconds.
now you know what i've done, but wait, there's more!
i have interviewed bruce hutchison, editor emeritus of the vancouver sun newspaper, on the phone. he
told me that he wished i'd stop bugging him because he didn't have much time left of his life. he
died two months later. (okay, so technically i didn't have anything to do with his death....)
i had my first article published on the front page of the newspaper, above the fold. it was the
capilano courier. i credit my writing (dis)ability to the editors of that paper....
i graduated at the top (yes, top) of my travel agent class. i never did work in that field though,
unless you count bc ferries, which had nothing really to do with being a travel agent....
...and that, my friends, is what i am all about.
