Third-place finisher Gary Kittell sets the new standard with a 1:06.129. Jim Kearney, Ed Womer, and Gary Kittell were the head of the field for the entire race, occasionally shuffling the order between the three of 'em. Ray Carmody fixed some gremlins overnight and was rewarded with much improved lap times, running as high as 4th. Eugene Grimes also solved his mechanical woes (a malfunctioning carb?), finishing Eighth from a 17th grid spot. |
