The Monutaineer was designed and is manufactured by Wellington Industries and has become so popular that it has remained unchanged for the past 18 years of production. Sporting two ground cleaving 10ft high deep tread puncture resistant tires, and a rear 6ft tall, extra wide drive tire, this monster was desigend to tackle the most adverse terrain imaginable. Its Turbo Enhanced Diesel Engine is fed by a 100 gal. self sealing tank that gives it just over 500 miles of range. Its reinforced cabin seats two pilots and the roomy interior comfortably fits 6 passengers. If this weren't enough to put this on top of any explorers list of must have transportation, it sports a rear cargo hold of 640 cubic feet (10x8x8) and 90 cubic feet of cleverly concealed (10x3x3) cargo space as well.

The list of standard features on the Mountaineer is impressive. The communications suite (controlled by the co-pilot) includes a multi-channel sensetive tight beam radio transceiver capable of transmissions up to 30 miles! THe entire cabin is climate controlled, and the internal vehicle computer monitors all system functions, offer expert advice on maintenance and repair (+2 to all rolls), as well as providing seamless control functionality through terminal stations at both the pilot and co-pilot stations for redundancy. Exterior illumination is provided by strategically situated halogen lamps on all sides of the vehicle, including a powerful search lamp mounted on the exterior co-pilot's position. THe Aggriev's Fire Supression System protects the vehicle interior as well as the engine with superb anti-fire protection, and our own Wellington 'Secure Tight' anti-theft system protects the vehicel during lockdown, delivering bothaudible, and remote alerts to intrusion. THis system may be coded to up to 8 different thumbprints, and has a IR detection sensor built in to verify that those digits are still attatched to their owners bodies!

Because of the extreme hazards one faces in the wilds of today, the body of the Mountaineer has been encased in a quarter inch of chemically hardened Durasteel armor plating, with impact plasteel windows treated with Flashresist coating. For further protection a hatch on the top of the vehicle open to a 360 degree heavy swivel pintel, allowing passenger #6 to stand and deliver! A large variey of optional weapons are available through your local ditributor, subject to local weapon trafficing laws.

All Mountaineers come with the standard exterior power taps so you can put the powerful Diesel engine to work for you beyond simple locomotion! Equipment upgrades can include generators to boost output to those taps, wire rigging to take advantage of cybernetically enhanced pilots, as well as communications and sensor upgrades! Talk to your local Wellington industries representative today!

Mark IX Exploratory Personal Carrier

The EPC IX is a modification of the Mark V APC, designed as a transport vehicle for long range reconnaissance and exploration expeditions. The land vehicle can transport 10 troops comfortably. SAMMAS troops will take up two places. This vehicle is commonly used by Rifts Containment Study Group (RCSG) teams, field scientists, and occasional recon teams.
The EPC IX is intentionally under-armed/armored to prevent it from being needlessly risked as an offensive weapon. The .50 is sufficient armament to dissuade curious supernatural animals, and protect from most bandits in the wild. Its armor is sufficient to protect from small arms fire, and its light weight allows the unit to maintain a high maximum speed of 120mph on roads, or half that on unbroken terrain. This unit is designed to support long range scouting missions which require a ground presence, or are otherwise to hazardous for air recon.
A full TL9 comm. suite gives the EPC IX extreme communications range, and PESA sensors gives it adequate warning of surrounding dangers. When at rest, a motion sensor system can be extended from the unit using man portable listening posts out to 300 meters from where the APC is stationed. This is most useful in terrain that limits the PESA sensors such as forests, or urban settings.

CS Spider-Skull Walker

The Skull Walker design specifications called for an all terrain high speed main battle tank, able to engage enemy armor and destroying it without sacrificing strategic speed. What emerged was compromise design package equipped with enormous firepower in its twin linked 50mm electromagnetic rail guns, each capable of penetrating five inches of armor plating, while still able to attain high speeds (100mph) over rough terrain. However the unit lacks quick maneuverability, and the ability to move away from incoming attacks as demonstrated by other more agile Mecha. In effect while the Skull Walker is imposing and quite intimidating, it is more of an anti-armor fire platform than a true Mecha.
One of the Skull Walkers failings spoken about often by its detractors is its inability to defend itself against infantry at close ranges. Twin Gatling Lasers were added after initial designs to fill this gap, however the engineers on the project also decided to add seating for 6 fully armored and armed infantry soldiers, capable of fast deployment though two belly mounted hatches in the unit. This gives the unit the ability to multi-role as a troop transport vehicle, and offers the tank commander the option to deploy a defensive screen of infantry around the Mecha when it assumes firing position.
Skull Walkers are typically used in one of two capacities. Offensively they are used to hammer static defenses with their massive rail cannons, reducing enemy armor and fortifications to rubble with extreme dispatch. Their high speed allows them to make quick gains upon their enemies, however their poor maneuverability makes them vulnerable against more versatile and agile targets. Alternately they are used to entrench and defend valuable and hotly contested battlefield positions where their heavy armor and punishing firepower as well as their screen of defensive troops often hold the enemy at bay.
Though considered by military commanders to be a failure in its design role as a tank hunter, Coalition citizens have latched upon the image of the Skull Walker as a symbol of national pride and military power. Thousands of these units have been built and deployed and are as common in the military as the UAR-1 Enforcer, which is accepted as being a far superior armor hunting Mecha. Used by those who understand its capabilities however, the Skull Walker is a powerful battlefield asset that has more than once turned the tide of battle in favor of CS forces.

Special Rules: The Spider Skull walkers dodge score is first divided in half before it is used (round up) because of its low maneuverability, and as the unit lacks arms it has no parry score at all. The dual cockpit means that the unit is able to move its full speed and fire in the same turn. The combat computer in the unit adjusts for the Mechas motion and negates speed penalties for firing the Mechas guns while in motion.

PA-300 Glitterboy Killer Power Armor

Designed to hunt Glitterboy power armor on a battlefield and disable or destroy the heavily armored units, the PA-300 is a compact, fast, and extremely lethal PA design. Speed, stealth, and hitting power are the specialties of this unit. Its designers realized that in order for the unit to accomplish its design goals it had to be able to close with the behemoths it hunts, survive its support elements, and pack enough punch to penetrate its immense armor.
To this end the PA-300 is covered in stealth polymer and is further enhanced with IR suppressing systems giving it superior occlusion to enemy heat sensors on a battlefield. It is extremely fast with a top speed of 80mph and highly maneuverable, capable of making tight turns at high speeds. Furthering the stealth package, the unit is equipped with a passive suite of sensors (PESA) that include Low Light, Thermo graphic, and Motion Sensitive detection equipment. The most dramatic improvement of the PA-300 over comparable equipment however is the compact neuro-net installed in the cockpit that allows the unit to respond to the pilot literally at the speed of thought.
Its primary ranged weapons are a pair of 57mm homing missile launchers mounted over the left and right shoulders and protected by the torso armor. These weapons are the long range armor busters that are designed to eliminate its heavy targets with linked attacks, however the PA-300 is designed primarily to engage the Glitterboy in close combat where the infamous Boom Gun will be ineffective. To that end a powerful Vibro blade system of 4 blades, two on each arm, has been designed. These devastating weapons are capable of literally carving enemy armor into pieces. To allow it to survive the elements that commonly support Glitterboys on a battlefield the PA-300 carries a light plasma cannon and a pair of gauss cannons mounted on wing turrets. Missile defense is provided by a 360 rotating turret mounted on the back of the unit and extending over its head. Also, dischargers for emergency use are provided to allow the unit to make its escape, or avoid total destruction.
The unit is equipped with a computer system that coordinates all weapon functions and has a complexity rating of 4. The cockpit is equipped with an ejection system to save the pilot in case catastrophic damage compromises the nuclear engine mounted on the unit (which has a lifespan of 20 years). The Plasma Cannon and Laser Defense system puts such a demand on the combat system that an energy capacitor had to be added, giving each system 30 shots before needing recharging. Combined with the limited ammo capacity of the missile system means that the PA-300 is a short range assault unit that needs quick re-supply in combat situations.
