Having been around for over two hundred years and being involved in countless conflicts with the supernatural, the gatling pistols have developed a number of special (one might argue magical) abilities which are detailed below. Stats: Shots: 12, Speed: 1, ROF: 3, Range: 10, Dam: 3d6, Reliability: base 18 Joint Powers: The following benefits are only granted when the gats are used as a pair (if they are split up for any reason, they act as normal gats with no additional benefits): 1.) Increased Reliability: Reliability is raised to 23, and are uneffected by rusting and normal wear and tear. 2.) Increased Accuracy: While there is no to hit bonus, the grouping on the shots fired from the gats is so tight that all rounds that successfully hit per action hit the same location (still requires the normal raise per bullet, but only one hit location is rolled). 3.) Shots fired from the gats affect targets normally only harmed by spirit damage. If the target is undead, each bullet does an additional wound if at least one wound is generated (yes, this means it is impossible to do just one wound vs. undead targets). 4.) When used in a threatening manner, the gats give the wielder +2 on overawe rolls. 5.) When held out in front of the wielder, the gats can be utilized as a form of "divining rod" for .44 ammunition. The range of this power is one mile and while not requiring a roll, is not a passive power and must be activated. The exact location of the ammunition (if detected) is not given - just vague "hot-cold" directional senses, and the exact quantity of the ammunition is not determined. Individual Powers: Left Gat: The following power is specific to the left gatling pistol only. 1.) On a spirit roll TN 9, the wielder of the gat is aware of the locations of any entity that wishes him harm within a radius of 100 ft. This is not a passive power and must be activated. Exact locations are not given - just vague "hot-cold" directional senses, and the exact identity of said entities are not determined. Individual Powers: Right Gat: The following power is specific to the right gatling pistol only. 1.) On a spirit roll TN 7, the wielder of the gat is aware of the locations of any edible game within a a radius of one mile This is not a passive power and must be activated.
