Griffin Rifle Team shoots school record
The Griffin High School Rifle Team shot a school record 1104 on Friday against Tri-cities High School at the Olympic Shooting Complex.
Team commander Timothy Bennett led the way shooting a 287. Co-commanders Justin Lazenby and Joey Mabry shot 257 and 279, respectively. Team members Jessica McClain and Jeremy Moore shot 259 and 279, respectively.
The team will compete again Jan 13 on the road against Creekside High School.
