THE WYVERN:

The wyvern, a creature of the Western world, resembles the dragon in some aspects, but is a seperate magickal creature.
It had a head like a dragon, body like a serpent, a barbed tail, wings, strong talons, but only two rear legs, like those of eagles. Seeing it brought great fear, for it symbolized war, viciousness, and pestilence.
The wyvern was more aggressive than the dragon.
To the Saxons it was the Wivere, a winged serpent.

Magickal Attributes

Revenge, retribution.
Creating protective barriers of fear as a defense.

Chant

The winged serpent hunts the night,
Its great wings silent in its flight.
It casts its shadow o'er the Moon,
My mighty guardian wyvern. Soon
All those who wish me woe shall know
The winged serpent is their foe.
