THE GUINEA FOWL:


Guinea fowl are the watch-dogs of the bird world with their harsh cackling sound. For this, and other sacred reasons, the birds were kept at the Acropolis in Athens.
Legend says that the sisters of Meleager were turned into guinea fowl.
In ancient Greek legends they are connected with amber; Sophocles wrote that they wept amber.

Use as a spiritual watch dog and protector.

Speckled watch-dog, sound a warning
Whenever danger does appear.

If threats and evil ones come near.
