THE ELK:

To native Americans an elk tooth represented long life.
In ancient sites in Lithuania and Northwestern Russia, staffs have been discovered with either elk doe heads or elk antlers on them. Similar staffs have been found among ancient grave goods.
To both Native Americans and Siberian people, the elk symbolizes the strength of the warrior, supernatural power, and, strangely enough, the whirlwind.
