This ride very is well themed. As you go through the queue (line), you pass though a large castle that looks medieval.

Debut:

The Deuling Dragons made its grand opening on May 28, 1999 at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. It is one of the four roller coasters that opened along with the park. The fifth coaster, the Flying Unicorn, opened June 29, 2000.

Structure:

The Fire Dagon's track is red with white supports. The rails are gray. The seats are red and the track is above the ride. It has over-the-shouler restraints that are pink or tan. The front car has a dragon's head with its mouth open on the side.

Special Features:

The two dragons go up the lift hill at the same time, but are not identical. There are three near collision points with only one foot of clearance. The trains weighed to improve the timing of the collision points. The front car has a dragon's head with its mouth open on the side.

Inversions:

After the first drop, there is a dive loop (half corkscrew, half loop). After that, there is another dive loop. Then, there is a vertical loop, which is one of the near collision points. Following this is a flat spin (corkscrew), which is another of the three near collision points. After that, there is another flat spin (corkscrew)
