Excellent! Makes me feel as if I'm riding in the back seat with the smell of steel town wafting through the cab.

Sorry, don't have any interesting taxi tales to tell, but I just wanted to thank you for entering something in my guestbook. Thought it would be nice to return the favour. BTW, I really enjoy your comic strip in the Spec. Read it all the time...just never knew you had your own website. Keep up the great humour! Regards, Ivan

hi. I finally found it, after months and months of scouring the web, I finally found this site. I am hugely suprised that there is no link to it from the spec site! oh well. Make a character smile once in a while, even if its a prime ministerial crooked s ile!

Great stuff. Unfortunatly, sometimes a little too close to home. My best taxi tale is from Milan Italy, three of us on a buying trip crowded into a small cab. Someone said to the cabbie "Do you speak English?" Cab Driver said "No" "parlez vous francaise?" "No" "sprechenzie Deitche?" "NO" ""pepesh pepolske?" "no" "Yiddishe?" "No" "medeber eivreit?" (Hebrew) "No" Finally I asked "Se parle Italiano?" The driver said, "No!, solo milenaise, e male" (only the milanaise dialect and poorly)
