Consequences

(No cover available yet)

Nic is a homicide detective, and he has been since his fiance was killed on the very street where he is sitting at 1am...and hears a sound that should not be heard in that location at that time of day.
A woman weeps somwhere beneath him. He finds seven kidnapped women, stuffed in a manhole and duct taped together, one of which he thinks is very beautiful: Jen

He  rescues the women, except for the one it is too late to save. The death of one of the victims makes it his job, as a homicide detective, to find the kidnapper/killer…before the other six victims die…because the perp is not finished…and Nic and Jen are just beginning.

*EXCERPT:

Jeni Campanelli has just graduated with a Masters Degree in History. She lives on by the campus, but several of her friends convince her to go out to The Hill in St. Louis, Missouri, better known as Little Italy, to celebrate. She’s not much for frivolous actions, such as partying at a night club or getting all decked out and spending lots of money on extravagant outfits and nails and new hair dos.

Still, she joins her fellow academics, and she goes to a dance spot, and leaves early, alone, and gets kidnapped and shoved into a manhole, along with six other women, she discovers when she wakes up from being out cold, because her abductor used chloroform on her, and a night stick to bash her over the head.

Nick Tarentino is a cop, and he just happens to be revisiting the area where his fiancé had been brutally murdered one year before. He hears a noise under the street and investigates. He finds Jeni and the other women, one of whom is dead from starvation and dehydration, having been kidnapped seven days before. The kidnapper has taken one woman every day for a full week, attempting to frame the owner of Carpathia, the night club where Jeni went to celebrate, owned by another woman with the same name: Jeni.
