| Lorenzo d'Aguilar arrived the following night, and seemed surprised to learn that there would be only two guests at a dinner held in Rose�s own bedroom. It was an enormous room, however, its great bed discreetly curtained off from the rest. Rose was impressed to see that d'Aguilar was of a romantic appearance, dark hair and piercing eyes.
