My neighbors were dog breeders and Miss Gray was a puppy which was never expected to make it because she was premature. Something about her attracted my husband and I and we asked my neighbor if we could have her. He told us that it would be of no use as he expected her to die in a couple of hours. We used the tip of a surgical glove to feed her with skim milk and managed to revive her. She lived many happy years and she was more than a pet to us. She was our baby - our child. My husband and I are still not over Miss Gray's death and I still have dreams about her.
