My Life
Here it is, take it or leave it.
Entry for October 29, 2006
I finally have work!  Well, kind of :)  A few weeks ago I was hired on as a supply teacher at a local Montessori preschool.  I've only been called in for a single shift so far and was begin to worry over whether this job would pan out for me or if I should start looking for another one.  Then, when I went in on Friday to pick up my cheque I was offered a 5 week full time position in their baby room starting December 1st!  The timing couldn't be better.  Our car is on it's last legs (er.. wheels) and there are other expenses coming up that we were really going to have to scramble to cover.  Besides that, it will be nice to be on a regular schedule again for a while (even if it does start at the ungodly hour of 630 a.m.) and to continue to gain the experience I'll need to get a job in my chosen field.

My husband and I went out in service together for the first time in a long time on Friday.  We ended up partnering off with different people, but we were in the same car group and it was still a great experience.  We used to work together in the field ministry a lot when we first started dating and I think the general busyness and happenings of life got us distracted away from it.  It reminded me of how much easier some of the tough things in life can be with your mate standing beside you ^_^

I've been posting a lot on some Bearded Dragon forums lately.  These are basically web pages where people go to ask questions and share information about BDs.  I've found it quite enjoyable because often I can help people out with problems that they're having or point them in the right direction so that they can avoid problems in the first place.  It's always a good feeling to know that you've been able to help someone out as well as help ensure that a creature gets the care that it requires and deserves.  With all of the free help that's available to people nowadays, it boggles the mind that some still refuse to avail themselves of it and their creatures suffer as a result.  I guess some things never change.
