Biking Into the Port of Dinan

The masts of pleasure boats in the river port sway in the current below the fortress city of Dinan Thanks to a huge hydroelectric dam the Rance is navigable for quite a way upstream. You follow the river (of course), and arrive biking along the lines of boats at river level. To enter the city itself you have to climb up to it. Take time for a nice lunch and a stroll through the town to admire the ancient architecure. You continue onward by biking across the bridge in the background. Cycling the bridge is a trip in itself, not for the faint of heart.
