Explanation:
I was working on another poem, "From Up Here" at the time I wrote this one. I couldn't decide what to do next on the piece and it wasn't moving along as quickly as I wanted so I decided to write a whole new style of poem to get my mind off it. This poem was the result. It is a fun jaunty poem that kind of pokes fun at the accursed syndrome known as Writer's Block. I have never really experienced it, I think due to having an overactive imagination, but I think it helps to show how any person can take an obstacle and turn it into a tool to be used. Instead of hitting a brick wall, you can build it into a ladder and climb over. |
