Explanation:
I'm keeping this one short...the person to whom the subject of the poem is addressed is the same as the previous poem "My Dreams They Do Not Come" only now it's from a much more frustrated perspective. I felt more like a marionette and a cheap actor on a pathetic stage than I did a human who was respected at least enough to deserve honesty. I used lines from Shakespeare's Macbeth, William Faulkner's novel
The Sound and The Fury, and Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You". Each of these minor references border on plagarism which is used as a symbol of the lie I felt I was getting deeper and deeper into. Nuff said.
