The Olson's Missing
Norman and Yvonne Olson
Missing couple from North Dakota, since August 14, 2004.
Neighbors noticed Norman and his wife missing when their garden was not being tended.  Food was found spoiling on the counter of their residence and a chair was wedged under the front door handle.  Yvonne's purse was left behind and her glasses were found on the garage floor.  There were no signs of forced entry.  A hand gun is possibly missing from the residence.
Their vehicle is also missing, described as a tan 1999 Ford Taurus with ND tag number DUY-288.

Norman is 73-Part of his thumb was cut off, toe was shot off in war but has since been re-attached.  He had on a watch and wedding band.

Yvonne is 69-She was wearing a gold wedding ring, possibly wearing stud earrings or watch.

If anyone sees them or knows anything about their disappearance, please call the Adams County Sheriff's Office at: (701) 567-2530
Update
One of the Olson's has been found along with their car.  The authorities have found the fully clothed body of Yvonne in the basement of an abandoned home, about a mile from the farm building where their car was located.  The state medical examiner could not determine how long Yvonne had been dead, but the authorities say probably a month or two.
The search for Norman will resume within a few days.  Law enforcement haven't ruled out a third party involved in the disappearance of the two.

Update~
The body of Norman Olson has been found in the same building where the body of the Alzheimer stricken man's wife was found nearly three weeks ago.  The gun found was "similar" to a handgun that has been missing from the Olson's home in Hettinger.  The body was found in the attic of the abandoned home that was falling apart.  Searchers had looked up through the ceailing and the attic appeared to be empty except for a barrel.  The upper part of Norman's body was inside the barrel.
