Having recently embarked on a quest to program my mind, I discovered quite accidentally the power of subliminal affirmations. I logged onto a website entitled lucid dreaming and tried out the subliminal to help you remember your dreams. This affirmation was a computer generated one, but packed a powerful wallop. The very next morning, barely thinking about it I got out my dream journal (something I have been notoriously lazy about doing) and began my process for lucid dreaming.
I started to wonder about the power of all this hype and began to read up a little on it. Subliminal affirmations work in the subconscious, when we access a subliminal affirmation it is likened to accessing a memory, remember all the rhetoric about implantation of false memories, it is possible and you can use this to your advantage. The theory is that your brain is receiving all of the information but does not process it right away, or in the conscious, instead it will hold it to be processed at a later time. So you dont have to hear the sounds on a conscious level. If you are hard of hearing try out a few of the computer generated subliminals. They deal primarily with text and give the same benefits. There are even software programs so that you can create your own.
I have found subliminals  on a wide range of topics, such as, develop telepathy and develop photographic memory. On the more practical side I have found focus your concentration and supercharge your memory. Just about anything that you may want to attempt to install into your mind, there is a subliminal for it.
Also important to note is that your subconscious will not do things you are opposed to in general life (you arent going to wake up in the morning  with a sudden, unexplainable urge to empty your bank account)
I started to wonder what would be the best way to put this to use. I decided to employ a three point plan, computer generated subliminals in the background, sleep programming by listening to subliminals as I sleep, and certain hypnotherapies once a day (much like meditation), and I document it all in a journal for research purposes . All in all my routine has not changed much, I just take a few minutes out of my day to put these methods to work, as a 30 day long commitment is vital to the installation process. Once the initial 30 days are done, you just pop in the subliminal affirmations every now and again to remind yourself, playing them in the background can be wonderful here.
There are a few ways that you can employ subliminals at very little cost ( hey, I am the frugal witch remember). Kazaa.com has available for download subliminals, meditations and hypnosis. There are some great online subliminals available such as the lucid dreaming website listed above. Your local library may stock a few of the hypnotherapy video tapes, such as quit smoking now, etc. And you can always use the technique of writing affirmations to help set the entire thing more deeply into your mind, as you are backing up the intellect with physical work, thus making it all the more real to you. Be sure to keep track of your use in a journal, so you will know when it is time to remind yourself and do a background play. Whatever plan you institute do keep in mind that you need 30 days to fully install the faculty into your mind, good luck and happy dreaming!
