| The Gremlin was introduced on April 1, 1970 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The first years (71 and 72) were only available as two-seaters. In 73 they were offered at 4 seaters as well as the "X" and "Levi" models. these options were available from 73-78. The Gremlin seen 3 major body changes and 1 major instrument change. "Phase 1" ran from 70-73, "Phase 2" ran from 74-76, and "Final Phase" was the 77-78 Models. In 1979, AMC introduced the Spirit, the replacement for the Gremlin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
