Neon Genisis Evangelion will be adapted into a live action film. In a collaboration between Gainax, ADV, and Weta, the film is in early development. Gainax and ADV Films are the original companies involved in the creation of Evangelion back in 1995 and ADV holds the worldwide rights to the Evangelion television series. Weta is a studio in New Zealand set up by Peter Jackson for the special effects of his Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.

The hit game, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, by Atari Entertainment, will be available for the Nintendo Gamecube this october.

Pioneer Entertainment will release anime soundtracks this July starting with 6 soundtracks and following with three soundtracks each month after. The initial release includes soundtracks for Chobits, Hellsing, Serial Experiments Lain, and Patlabor WXIII. The release also includes Sweets CD Soundtrack, by and Yoko Ishida, and Fiction CD Soundtrack, by Yuki Kajiura.
