The Romulan alphabet is the writing system used by the Romulans to write rihannsu, the official language 0of the Romulan star empire. The Romulan alphabet its self is well suited to writing the Romulan language although like with the Cardassian script, the Romulans typically don�t write vowels in words at all except when they are word initial. Even though vowels are used sparsely there are letters for all the sounds of the Romulan language including the vowels. Romulan is written vertically in column going from top-to-bottom, left-to-right. A weird aspect of Romulan is the separation of a paragraph into two blocks (see below text) |
