| The next morning the rain continued, but I was determined to see Heidelberg Castle. This required a 15 minute walk uphill, which usually wouldn't be so bad except for the rain, I still had a cold, and the many school groups that were there that day. | After driving the Autobahn I arrived in Hiedelberg Thursday evening. I had picked up a cold, so I didn't spend much time in the city that night. I managed to take a few steps out of my hotel to one of the very popular German McDonald's. I was looking for soup and orange juice, but this was as close as I would get. It's amazing how popular McDonald's is here, at least from what I have seen. They are always busy, especially late in the evening. It's kind of like a Starbucks, but it's McDonald's... |
