If you had a desire to write a program in C++ the first thing you have to do is run out and buy a compiler! This is a MAJOR problem with all those OTHER languages! Not only does the programmer have to buy the compiler,but...C++ is a TRULY CONFUSING LANGUAGE! I know...I speak it! Most people cannot understand it and therefore refuse to use it because it is frustrating.Most people that take a class in C++ come away with such a bad taste in their mouth that they decide to NOT BECOME PROGRAMMERS! Qbasic is in every copy of windows 3.1 and on the disks of win95. DOLPHIN TO DOLPHIN PICTUREPHONE...WHY ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET HUMANS?
If we put a touch screen tv (with picture in picture)underwater in a dolphins pool then the dolphins could trigger hyperlinks by touching the PIP with their nose. An underwater camera and microphone would allow a dolphin working in L.A. to chat with a dolphin working in Florida. HOW WOULD THEY EXPLAIN THE FACT THAT THE SUN SETS 3 HOURS EARLIER IN fLORIDA? The TECH MUSEUM has a working audio/video link to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Why not put that proven technology to work as a CHAT ROOM for dolphins? Maybe "CHAT POOL" is a better term...Are chimpanzees online? What are all those unemployed lab chimps doing with all their spare time ? Too old to work in the movies...too sick to be a aids researcher...why not let them communicate over the internet? The interface would need to be chimpuser friendly ...

SUPER COMPUTER PROJECT...
If we could use a million computers working in parallel... could we solve a really tough math problem? Most of the computers that are connected to the internet are actually not being used most of the time...Why not rent time on those million computers while the people are asleep or out of the house...The real challenge of a super computer project is finding a problem that requires a huge amount of processor time...One math problem is called "WHERE IS THE OIL". Companies like EXXON input vast amounts of seismic data and then crunch the numbers using really fast computers...Would an oil company be interested in a million(one meg) of microprocessors helping them figure out where to drill for oil and gas? Another math problem that is amazingly complex is "WHAT IS THE BEST SHAPE FOR AN AIRPLANE" The Math required for calculations involving wind tunnels, lift, drag, and turblence require a mountain of cpu time ... Would a corp like Boeing or Lockheed be willing to rent time on home computers? CAN YOU THINK OF ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES GIGANTIC COMPUTER SYSTEMS?

We could transmit 3d information by using an array of nails (usually 20 nails across by 20 nails high)attached to an array of solenoids...The nails are mounted to a plate so that they are able to move in and out of the plate...You have probably seen the science toy that forms an image of a persons face(or a hand...or any three dimentional shape)...Use that toy to input shape into an internet terminal and then move the nails using the data to form the same 3d image at another terminal far away... We would need to invent a device that could sense the movement of the nails when a person pushes them and another machine to move the nails into and out of the plate... I imagine a stepper motor(400 motors)could move the nails and a photo transistor to sense the location on the nails (paint a bunch of stripes on each nail and count then moving past the electric eye) Blind people could use this shape interface to "see" what a friends face "looks" like! An architect could show a client what shape a building would be when it gets built... Automobile designers could show what shape a car will be...

Let me tell you a story...If you can find the qbasic program called WORDRAND.BAS then you may play with a automatic plot generating engine! This is a simple idea that i stole from MAD MAGAZINE The idea is to generate complete sentences by combining (names) and (actions)... A "fill in the blanks" type of program... Make a list of (names) and another list of (actions) to get goofy stories randomly select a (name) and combine it with an (action)... A program could also combine a (quotqtion) with a (person) THIS WOULD AUTOMATICALLY WRITE DIALOG! HOW TO MAKE TIEDYE T-SHIRTS...SHEETS...FABRIC...EARN MONEY WITHOUT A JOB...MAKE AND SELL SOUVINEERS!
Get some really good dye. My favorite is the Procion brand name or Dylon.These are 2 part cold water dyes. They use a fixative called soda ash. Take a shirt that is 100% cotton and get it wet. Wring out the excess water and lay the shirt flat on the floor. Grab the shirt in the center and TWIST TWIST TWIST until the shirt has twisted itself into a round flat shape.(like a honeybun pastry) Mix up the dye and soda ash in a small squirt bottle. Use about a quarter of a teaspoon of powdered dye per color per shirt.An empty 2 oz. acrylic paint bottle works good. Drip the dye mixture onto the shirt in a triangular pattern starting at the center of the twisted shirt.Put different colors on different "slices" of the "pie".(when you slice a pie you automatically get triangular shapes with a curved short side...just look at a slice of pizza to see the shape ) Let the shirt dry for a couple of days.(yes...a couple of days!) MAKE SURE YOU PLACE THE SHIRT WHERE NO ONE WILL ACCIDENTALLY TOUCH IT!!! IF YOUR ANIMALS GET INTO THE DYE THEY WILL GET SICK!!! IF YOUR KIDS GET INTO THE DYE THEY WILL GET SICK!!! Turn the shirt over and drip more colors onto the back of the shirt.If you place the same color in the same location then the colors will "line up" and the rainbow spiral will be solid colors...you do not HAVE to do this! Many people "do not color within the lines"..."disobedient naughty-naughties!" Let the shirt dry for a couple of days.Rinse the shirt in a sink and save the excess dye for another day.(put the dilute dye into a gallon jug and let the water evaporate) This should make a classic "rainbow spiral" shirt. Experiment with applying the dye in powdered form directly to a damp shirt. Just mix up dye and soda ash and sprinkle it on with a spoon...really fun if you put a template made out of cardboard(a simple graphic shape ...like a peace sign) and sprinkle the powdered dye onto the shirt in all the places that the template does not cover...DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ? PLEASE TEACH ME!!!

Another fashion idea...take about 20 necties and sew the edges together This would make a skirt...add a zipper and use a single necktie for a belt...

GRAND TETONS "FOOL THE EYE" CLOTHES !!!Print a checkerboard pattern onto a tee shirt...make the straight edges curve bigger on the chest area and smaller at the waist...This will give the illusion that the fabric is stretched by "grand tetons". Think about this...If you print a checkerboard design with parallel lines and equal size squares the mind of the viewer thinks that the design is FLAT...but if you make some of the squares slightly larger than the others...the viewer thinks that those larger squares are closer... If you take a pattern and stretch it over a curved surface... the squares naturally expand and contract to give the illusion of three dimentional depth...We could enhance this natural pattern by "cheating"...Pre stretch the design so that a womans figure is enhanced by the illusion of the checkerboard... Presto-chango She looks like she is closer to you in the chest and farther away at the waist... Try mapping a houndstooth pattern using a computer photoimpression program...

The next day I got busted for grass by a park ranger and had to pay a $35 dollar fine...AND we had to leave the park... The next year we climbed to little yosemite valley while Tripping...That time I Transmogrified into a brown bear and went fishing in the river...nevada falls changed into an animal with 1,000 eyes...The double decker bus that drives aroun the park is a great ride...The top level is open and we FLOATED around the park amazed at the wonders of nature...
