This one came out about a month after 911. I was pretty upset about Ford blaming the Explorer crashes on the Bridgestone tires. Then the Concorde went back into service after a fatal crash due to a flat tire during takeoff. I took the photos and text right off their respective web sites.
The European air worthiness committee said something interesting in their report on the Concorde: "we don’t believe a flat tire should result in fatalities" At the time the head of Ford was a French citizen named Jacques Nassar, but he resigned in November.
Write to me if you want to know why I think those Ford vehicles crashed.
