This one is in reference to the Bush policy of faith based initiatives. I was hoping he wouldn’t advocate any faith based bombings of Iraq.

One person absolutely did not get any of the jokes in this drawing. It is based on the telephone operator character played by Lily Tomlin on Laugh-In. The idea is the White House still has separation of church and state, because they are on different extensions. There is also a nice joke about the hi-tech Texas style White House – Bush didn’t even have an email account. Quite a depressing switch after all the hi-tech work done by Al Gore.

In December 1998 the US and UK conducted massive bombing raids on Iraq, which ended when Congress impeached the President. By now, January of 2003, Bush still has not been able to bomb Saddam Hussein, even though after September 11, 2001 it seemed obvious he was gonna try.
