These images are from the textbook California Archaeology by Moratto. Not everyone gets to be Jack Schmitt, but if you want, you can imagine what a terraformer would do in California.
I like the last one best. An awful lot of the water that evaporates off the ocean doesn’t precipitate till it hits northern Utah. What a waste! In the image of Bell Canyon/Crow Canyon at right you can see where the coastline used to be, or maybe it was a lake. |
