At first just a novelty, television now connects our society by giving us instantaneous pictures and information from anywhere on the globe.In recent years television has found a new competitor for the the world’s attention, the Internet. Much like television, the Internet provides instantaneous information. But the Internet does more than just stream facts and pictures. The Internet links users together, allowing them to communicate in ways not possible before.

The communicative abilities of both television and the Internet are immense. When used in combination they are formidable. The Internet has given everyone a voice. Now through enhancements in interactive technologies, television and video on the Internet can be used get those voices heard.
