| Title: Sick Days are no Fun Part 10 Author Dragon_Wolf E-mail: [email protected] Fandom CSI Pairing Nick-Gil-Greg Rating FRAO Status WIP Archive Yes and to [email protected] "Dr. as Mr. Stokes and I have been trying to explain to Greg and his mother it was your staff member Nurse Simpson who first brought up the topic of Angel Dust, or to be precise PCP which is the other common name for Angel Dust." Gil explained. "She did?" Dr. Watkins said taken back. "Yes she did but I think in her own defense there was a misunderstanding as she also explained to us too." Gil continued. "Could you elaborate please for me Mr. Grissom?" Dr. Watkins asked. "Greg when he heard the mention of drugs he reacted badly and we all know how much he does hate to take any medication at all if he can help it. Anyway Nurse Simpson mentioned to Greg that she was going to get a PCP to do all Greg's personal care from now on and I know Greg misunderstood her as to say that she was going to give him PCP instead of having a PCP help him with his personal care." Gil iterated. "Is this true Mr. Stokes?" Dr. Watkins asked. "Yes exactly Dr." Nick answered resentfully. He didn't like that the doctor didn't believe Gil. "Before this travesty goes any further I have a couple of questions of my own to ask you about your staff and the treatment of my brother." Mary interjected forcefully. This question kind of threw Dr. Watkins for a loop but he nodded agreement and Mary continued with her question. "Why does this hospital employ nursing staff that are obviously homophobic as in the case with the reaction of Nurse Simpson to the sexuality of my brother and Mr. Stokes? When he first went to her and asked her for bathing materials to give my brother a bed bath. She immediately went to Nurse Michael's to complain about the unusual request. Nurse Michaels than explained to her that it was allowed and I saw the visible reaction of Nurse Simpson it wasn't pleasant. She then gave Nick what he requested and that was when Nurse Michaels had a talk with her after that confrontation and that the conversation took place in the med room. I was in the hallway while this conversation took place and I saw the reaction of Nurse Simpson after they left the med room and she wasn't happy. Then not too long after that took place the incident occurred in my brother's room happened and now here we are." Mary stated. Dr. Watkins looked stunned at this statement he hadn't known all the background before coming to the room. He asked Nurse Michaels to leave with him to confirm what Mary had said. They all waited impatiently in the room while they consulted together. They came back into the room anxious minutes later. "Dr. before you start I want to know the condition of my brother and no bullshit either." Mary fired at him. "Miss Sanders your brother as I stated before is sedated right now and resting comfortably. That is also the reason we took so long coming back we went to check on his condition. Now to the other situation that is happening. Until everything is straightened out here is what will be happening in regards to personal care and visitation. If these conditions are no to your liking you can talk to the hospital administrator and be sure I will also be talking to him myself. First all personal care will be handled by a MALE PCP and before there are anymore misunderstandings PCP stands for Personal Care Provider. There will be no exceptions to this rule. The second condition is that there will be only one visitor allowed at a time, also for only 15 minutes maximum. Any overnight staying will be by Mr. Stokes only no one else. Now in regards to Nurse Simpson she will be assigned to a set of patients on this floor and I will let it be known she is to have no contact with any family members or friends of Mr. Sanders." Dr. Watkins explained. The group was not happy about the rulings brought down by him especially since Nurse Simpson would still be working on the floor. Dr. Watkins went on to explain that before she had left Nurse Simpson had said that she would be in touch with her union rep and her lawyer because she also threatened to sue if any charges were brought against her specifically by Mr. Grissom. This statement alone shocked everyone and they all looked to Gil. He stood there dumbstruck. "Excuse me you did say that Nurse Simpson thought I would press charges against her personally? Why would I do that I have never met the woman before seeing her in the room when she interrupted us earlier." Gil said wonderingly. "Mr. Grissom I have no idea but since that was said in your case specifically when it comes to visitation you will be on restricted visitation. This will mean anytime you wish to visit with Mr. Sanders it will be monitored and you will sign in and out at the desk. There will be no physical contact between you and Mr. Sanders and security will be with you in the room there will be no private visitations and you will only be allowed at come at certain times for visitations." Dr. Watkins told Gil. "I am also going to have to ask you to leave the hospital now and not to return till a visitation schedule can be arranged. Officer Stitcher could you please escort Mr. Grissom to his vehicle and make sure he leaves the hospital property. Thank you." The screaming and shouting that followed sounded like a miniature atom bomb. Everyone was shouting and screaming at the treatment of themselves and Gil. "EVERYBODY SHUT UP!!!!" Gil shouted above everyone else. When they all had quieted he continued "I will leave and I will call first thing in the morning to set up the visitation schedule." He left the room but his voice and his reaction left everyone shaken only Nick had heard the tone of voice in which he spoke when they found the dead baby on the golf course years ago. At that time when he had taken the baby and taken him to headquarters none had even spoken till he left the crime scene. Everyone felt the same way that you didn't want to mess with Gil Grissom now if your life depended on it. Dr. Watkins agreed to let Emily see Greg and that after that everyone should go home for the night including Nick, that Greg would be out for the entire night to sleep. |
