Hello, I'm Patricia Plantamura. Thank you for visiting my home page.
"Salvation of the State is Watchfulness of the Citizen." This is inscribed over the main entrance to the State Capitol of Nebraska, my childhood home.
Watchfulness is our personal responsibility as citizens. We entrust elected officials to work on our behalf to meet the needs of our community. This guides my decision to run for Seminole City Council.
Florida has been my home for the past 18 years, and eight of those years have been here in Seminole. I am keenly aware of everyday problems which face Floridians. Exorbitant property insurance rates and high taxes are making it difficult for those who would choose to live here. School teachers and fire fighters, retired people, the medical personnel who care for us, and those who pour our coffee and bag our groceries, need homes. Keeping Seminole affordable not only for newcomers, but for those of us who already live here, is of primary importance to me.

If present circumstances persist, the face of Seminole will be very different in five years. In fact, the faces of Seminole will be very different. Look around now. Will your neighbors and friends still be here...indeed, will you still be able to afford to live here in Seminole?
We, the people, must keep our government leaders apprised of the needs of the community, and we, the people must be watchful that our elected leaders serve our collective best interest. Our local concerns and issues must be addressed, and as needed, be communicated to the state and national levels from the perspective of we, the people here in Seminole.
In consideration of my education and life experience I ask that you elect me as Member of the Seminole City Council. I ask that you entrust me with the responsibility to help to work in the best interest of Seminole. I invite you, indeed I expect you to be watchful along with me.
