It seems I've imagined him all of my life
as the wisest of all of mankind;
but if God's only wisdom is foolish to men
He must have seemed out of his mind. 1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

For even his family said He was mad Mark 3:21 When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

and the priests said, "A demon's to blame"; Matthew 12:23-28 But the Pharisees said, "It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons."

But God in the form of this angry young man
could not have been perfectly sane. In addition to driving the moneychangers out of the temple in John 2:14-17, several things that made Jesus angry are described in Matthew 23.

When we in our foolishness thought we were wise
He played the fool and He opened our eyes. 1 Corinthians 1:27 Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
When we in our weakness believed we were strong
He became helpless to show we were wrong Philippians 2:7-9 Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name.
2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
